DES MOINES, Iowa - USA Track & Field On Wednesday unveiled a #ShowUsYourWings
social media campaign that enables track aficionados to join a photo-based community on social media and on USATF’s website, www.usatf.org.
is based upon USATF’s iconic winged logo, which appears on USATF apparel, products and Team USA uniforms.
Launched the week of the 2013 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, #ShowUsYourWings
encourages people to take a photos of themselves, friends, or a favorite USATF product and tag them with #ShowUsYourWings
. After uploading their images to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, specialized software aggregates the photos and displays them on USATF.org, where fans can track their photos.
With a slogan of “Take it. Tag it. Track It,” the campaign is designed to unite the broad track & field community and heighten USATF’s social media profile and merchandise promotions.
“#ShowUsYourWings will engage fans, athletes and celebrities and unite them across a range of platforms,” said USATF CEO Max Siegel. “Every day across the country, you will find people wearing our gear, attending our events or simply engaging in running, walking, throwing or jumping. This program enables them to see each other and share their enthusiasm.”
