USATF Staff Announcements

INDIANAPOLIS -- USATF CEO Max Siegel announces the following staff changes in the Indianapolis office.

 

David Gadis named Chief Revenue Officer

Gadis joins USATF as Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for oversight of sales management, new business development, and product development. He comes to USATF after six years as Executive Vice President at Veolia North America, where he was responsible for business development, government relations and marketing the North American Big Cities/Urban initiatives. A $3 billion organization, Veolia is the largest operator and manager of utilities in North America.

 

Gadis first joined the Indianapolis Water Co. in 1998 as a vice president of shared services, becoming chief operating officer in 2002, when Veolia began managing the Indianapolis water system. He was later named President of Veolia Water Indianapolis.

 

An Indianapolis native and graduate of Southern Methodist University, Gadis returned to his hometown after graduation to work in insurance, serving as Midwest Regional Manager at USF&G Insurance, where he managed 16 branch offices and 113 employees. He then moved to Monroe Guaranty Insurance Company as Vice President Claims Operations before joining what came to be known as Veolia Water Indianapolis.

 

Gadis has served on the Board of Directors of the Indianapolis Urban League, Fifth Third Bank, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, Indianapolis Sports Corporation, Indiana Minority Supplier Business Council, Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and Indianapolis Downtown Inc. He played basketball at SMU and is an Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee.

 

Jill Geer named Chief Marketing Officer

Formerly Chief Public Affairs Officer, Geer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the organization's marketing and advertising initiatives. As Chief Marketing Officer, she will work with the Chief Revenue Officer to increase revenue through successful marketing for the entire organization using market research, pricing, product marketing, and advertising. Geer will continue her management of USATF's communications, public relations, sponsor fulfillment and brand management teams.

 

Donald Woodard named Deputy General Counsel

A nationally recognized leader in entertainment law, Woodard joins USATF as Deputy General Counsel. He will assist USATF's General Counsel in the complex day-to-day transactional matters of USATF relating to corporate governance, intellectual property, insurance and sanction programs, general litigation and legal matters impacting USATF's diverse constituents including its elite athletes.

 

Woodard previously served as partner at Atlanta's Gordon & Rees, LLP, working as counsel to entertainment companies and celebrities with respect to emerging media and technology law, including digital media rights, content licensing, acquisition and distribution, synchronization rights, intellectual property and copyright, and rights of privacy, publicity and protection for celebrities and public figures.

 

Woodard began his legal career as an associate at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue before practicing as an entertainment attorney at Greenberg, Traurig, LLP in Atlanta. He is an Advisory Board Member of the Future of Music Coalition of America; member and former Governor of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences; and a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Lawyer for the Arts, Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association. He earned his JD from Indiana University.

 

Adam Schmenk named Managing Director of Entertainment Properties and Events

Formerly Director of Entertainment Properties, Schmenk is responsible for television broadcasts and relationship management of TV networks, USATF.TV, and international media. He provides direction for media-based intellectual property management and growth in content and revenue. Schmenk's role will expand to include oversight of the Events Department, assisting in the direction of the myriad of events hosted by USATF including national championships, the USATF Black Tie & Sneaker Gala and Annual Meeting.

 

Robin Beamon, Director of Outreach & Grass Roots Programs

Robin Brown-Beamon joins USATF as Director of Outreach & Grass Roots Programs with management over the Youth Department, Youth Camps and Customer Service.

 

For 35 years, Brown-Beamon served the Miami-Dade County Parks and Recreation department, where she was responsible for the implementation of a county-wide recreation program, with a primary emphasis on track and field. She developed staff training manuals for MD-PROS Sports Development programs and served as purchasing advisor and inventory liaison for a multi-million dollar sports equipment inventory for Miami-Dade PROS.

 

She served 12 years as USATF Florida youth chair and eight years as USATF Florida Association president. In 2015, she was Team USA Technical Director of the 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships, and in 2003 she received the USATF President's Award in recognition of her contributions to the organization.

 

Brown-Beamon most recently was the meet director for the 2016 USATF Hershey Youth Outdoor Championships, which boasted record participation and online viewership.

 

Ashley Mitchell, Marketing & Communications Manager

Ashley Mitchell joins USATF as a marketing and communications manager. In that role, she will promote and elevate the profile of USATF through traditional and social media and will serve as press officer at domestic and international events. Mitchell spent four years at NASCAR, where she worked in content communications and marketing communications, supporting NASCAR’s multicultural development, digital and brand marketing. She was part of the group that won 2015 PR Week In-House PR Team of the Year.

 

A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and a high school track athlete in Maryland, she holds a BA in Comparative Literature with a concentration in Spanish.

 

Leah Testa, Merchandise and Retail Operations Manager

Testa is named a manager after two years in USATF merchandise and retail operations. In addition to her role as lead merchandise buyer of footwear, apparel, and non-apparel, Testa will manage the merchandise coordinators who handle the event planning, mobile retail sites, as well as the USATF e-commerce platform.

 

Michael Roessler, Merchandise Coordinator

Michael Roessler joins USATF as a member of the merchandise team after a summer internship with the organization. He is a recent graduate of Marian University with a major in business management and minor in accounting. His duties will include coordinating event scheduling and mobile retail sites and assisting in the oversight of the USATF e-commerce platform.
