The USATF 24 Hour National Championship
will be hosted by “24 The Hard Way” and held at beautiful Bluff Creek Park, north of Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City, Okla., beginning Saturday, October 26 at 9 a.m., and concluding Sunday, October 27 at 9 a.m. Along with the 24-hour event will be events of one, six, and 12 hours beginning Friday evening.
Many of the top ultra-marathoners from across the nation are scheduled to compete in hopes of being named National Champion, winning the cash prize (1000$ for 1st, 750$ for 2nd, or 250$ for 3rd), and potential qualifying marks for the U.S. National 24 Hour Team.
Race Director Chisholm Deupree, a nationally known ultra athlete from Oklahoma City said, “We’re excited and proud to bring America’s top ultra runners to Oklahoma City for this very special event.”
In addition to Open division National Champions being named, top finishers in age categories from 40-44, 45-49, etc. in five year increments will claim title of “National Champion” in their respective categories. Athletes entered range in age from 18 thru 78.
