INDIANAPOLIS, May 21, 2014 — USA Track & Field (USATF) on Wednesday welcomed University of Phoenix as its Official Education Partner. USATF members will now receive tuition reductions at the University, and USATF plans to establish a scholarship program for elite athletes to help promote the partnership and assist athletes in pursuing and finishing their degrees.
“Bringing University of Phoenix into the USATF family as our Education Partner will benefit all USATF constituencies,” USATF CEO Max Siegel said. “With tuition reductions, all current USATF members, staff and post-collegiate athletes will have better opportunities to finish their degrees, pursue new degrees or simply broaden their skill sets and knowledge base.”

This announcement is USATF’s third major partnership announcement in the last six weeks and the organization’s fourth partnership announcement in the last 15 months.
