Team USA Juniors to compete in Japan

INDIANAPOLIS – A select group of U.S. junior athletes will compete in the 2011 Germany-Japan-USA  Trilateral Friendly Indoor Meet on Saturday, February 5 in Osaka, Japan.
The competition will consist of junior athletes (ages 16-19) competing in the 60 meters, 60m hurdles and long jump. Athletes were selected first by using the 2010 end of year high school rankings in the 100m, 100m/110m hurdles and long jump. Athletes were also invited to join the squad based on top indoor performances this season.  The Team USA roster follows:
60 Meters: 

Damiere Byrd – Sicklerville, N.J. - 100m PR: 10.42
Ronald Darby – Oxon Hill, Md.- 100m PR: 10.55
60-Meter Hurdles:
Kenneth Minkah  - DeSoto, Texas– 110m Hurdles PR: 13.62
Demetrius Lindo – Washington, D.C. - 110m Hurdles PR: 13.7
Long Jump
Marquis Dendy - Middletown, Del. – Long Jump PR: 7.44m/24-5
Leon Samuels – Charlotte, N.C. - Long Jump PR: 7.59m/24-11
60 Meters:
Myasia Jacobs – Patterson, N.J. - 100m PR: 11.44
Christal Peterson - Hampton, Va. – 100m PR: 11.55
60-Meter Hurdles:
Shelley Black - Wilkes Barre, Pa. – 100m Hurdles PR: 13.79
Trinity Wilson - Berkeley, Calif. – 100m Hurdles PR: 13.49
Long Jump:
Amber Dandy - Chattanooga, Tenn. – Long Jump PR: 6.10m/20-0.25
LeTristan Pledger - Kansas City, Kans. – Long Jump PR: 6.17m/20-3
