INDIANAPOLIS - USA Track & Field has launched an improved portal for youth athletes and their parents at www.usatf.org/youth
. The revamped website comes on the eve of the USA Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships and World Youth Trials to be held in Edwardsville, Ill.
The new youth pages feature easier to navigate pages and offer athletes, parents and coaches a one-stop-shop for all things related to USATF Youth Programs. Information available on the site ranges from clubs to events, committees, Win with Integrity and the Mark Springer Youth Travel Grant Program.
The USATF Future Stars pages offer young athletes the opportunity to learn tips on training and nutrition from elite athletes, take part in monthly contests and contribute to fan-generated photo galleries of USATF youth events.
Information is also available on the USOC’s SafeSport program that helps to promote a healthy setting for sports for everyone. USATF’s own SafeSport program with sport specific best practices, policies and procedures will debut in July.
