Diamond League races to Rome and Birmingham

INDIANAPOLIS -- Twenty-two U.S. athletes will take to the track at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, followed by 30 athletes competing at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, England as the Diamond League race continues to the U.K. and Europe this week.


Diamond League leaders Erik Kynard (Toledo, Ohio - men’s high jump), Cassandra Tate (Hammond, Louisiana - women’s 400m hurdles), and Ameer Webb (Tustin, California - men’s 200 meters) will compete to keep themselves atop the Diamond Race leaderboard. Fans can watch #RomeDL from 2-4 p.m. ET Thursday on beIN SPORTS and beinsportsconnect.tv, and tune in to #BirminghamDL from 9-11 a.m. ET Sunday.

Registration open June 1 for TrackTown Summer Series

EUGENE -- The TrackTown Summer Series makes its highly anticipated debut on Friday evening, July 29 at Hayward Field with an exciting four-team competition. The meet will feature 144 athletes representing teams from Portland, San Francisco, Philadelphia and New York City. Each squad will carry 36 athletes on its roster, split evenly between men and women, with competitors battling for prize money and additional benefits in excess of a half-million dollars.


Athletes: to sign up, visit TrackTownSummerSeries.com and select “Athlete Draft Registration” from the right side of the page. All entries must be received by June 15 at 5 p.m. (Pacific). A list of accepted athletes into the draft will be announced on June 20. The draft will take place on June 25.


USATF Hall of Famer Renaldo Nehemiah starts new weekly blog series

RESTON, Virginia -- Starting June 1, former world record holder and USATF Hall of Famer Renaldo Nehemiah will begin a weekly blog series on his website entitled “The Nehemiah Rules”. Nehemiah will write about his life and sports experiences, both past and present, and how his faith has guided his journey.
