Where to watch Team USATF this weekend

All eyes will be on Team USATF athletes this weekend as several of the world’s best compete at home and abroad in the Great North CityGames, DecáNation and the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile.


Great North CityGames

Americans Katie Mackey, Ameer Webb and Jarrett Eaton will participate in the UK’s Great North CityGames on Saturday.


From 100m sprints to the one-mile distance, plus pole-vault and long jump in a specially constructed multi-sports arena on the banks of the Tyne, the Great North CityGames kicks off a weekend of multiple athletics activities including the Simplyhealth Junior and Mini Great North Run, the Simplyhealth Great North 5k and finishes with the world-famous Simplyhealth Great North Run on the Sunday.


Crowds of over 25,000 are expected to watch world-class athletes compete at the NewcastleGateshead Quayside. Watch live starting at 8:15am ET on USATF.TV+. Click here to visit the event page.


DecáNation

A well-rounded Team USATF roster will take on the world at the 13th annual DecáNation in Angers, France on Saturday. The one-day meet features ten athletes completing one decathlon at Stadium du Lac de Maine.  


The U.S. has won nine times out of 12 years of participation. Led by Sam Kendricks and Ryan Crouser on the men’s side, and Kristi Castlin and Shannon Rowbury on the women’s, Team USATF is primed to snatch gold once again.

New Balance 5th Avenue Mile

2016 winners Jenny Simpson and Eric Jenkins return to one of the most famous streets in New York City to defend their titles in the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile. A star-studded field, including 2017 World Champion Emma Coburn and silver medalist Courtney Frerichs, 2017 USATF Outdoor Champion Robby Andrews and World Championships finalist Johnny Gregorek.
