Hammertime free and open to the public; Olympic Trials tickets still available

Hammertime free and open to the public
A unique twist to the 2012 Olympic Team Trials – Track & Field, Hammertime will officially kick off competition on Thursday, June 21, at the Nike World Headquarters (One Bowerman Drive, Beaverton, Ore.). Admission to Hammertime is free and open to the public.

Those attending Hammertime are encouraged to use the Walker Road entrance into the Nike World Headquarters where there will be signs directing you to available parking.

Hosting both the qualifying and final rounds for the men’s and women’s hammer throw, competition begins at 11:15 a.m. (Pacific Time) with women’s qualifying. Finals for the women’s event will take place at 1:15 p.m. The men’s competition will follow beginning at 3:15 p.m. with the finals scheduled for 5:15 p.m.

Coverage of Hammertime will be broadcast LIVE regionally on Comcast SportsNet to include the women’s final from 1-2 p.m. and the men’s final from 5-6 p.m. Announcing Hammertime will be Dwight Stones, Lewis Johnson and Comcast SportsNet's Dwight Jaynes.

Olympic Trials tickets still available
Tickets are also still available for the remainder of the Olympic Trials, which are scheduled for June 22-25 and June 28-July 1 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. More information surrounding the Olympic Trials and a link to purchase tickets can be found here.
