Elite athletes take to the Armory at Dr. Sander Invitational


NEW YORK CITY -- High school, college and professional athletes are set to compete at the historic Armory’s New Balance Track and Field Center in New York at the Dr. Sander Invitational and Columbia Challenge, January 25-27, 2018. Formerly known as Armory Track Invitational, the three-day meet kicks off the USATF Indoor Championships Series.

USATF.TV+ will air on demand coverage of Thursday’s events, followed by live action Friday starting at 10:15 a.m. ET and Saturday during 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 3-4 p.m. blocks. NBC Sports Gold will live stream elite events 1-3 p.m., which will air on NBCSN on tape delay later that evening. See below for a full schedule.

Per the Armory, The Dr. Sander Invitational is the largest indoor college meet in the country. This year’s meet boasts 11 professional events featuring Olympic and World Championships medalists such as Ajee’ Wilson, Clayton Murphy, Ryan Whiting and Courtney Okolo.

World Championships 4x400m gold medalist Shakima Wimbley will face off against Olympic champion Courtney Okolo in a sure to be exciting 400m. The men’s 800m will see 2016 Rio bronze medalist Clayton Murphy take on the likes of Robby Andrews, Erik Sowinski and Casimir Loxsom. On the women’s side, American record holder Ajee’ Wilson will rematch against teammate Charlene Lipsey in the women’s 800m.
