2014 USATF Masters 12K Championships returns to Alexandria

INDIANAPOLIS -- The USATF Masters 12K Championships will return to historic Alexandria, Virginia, Nov. 16, USATF has announced.
Masters athletes will use the same course as USATF’s signature road race event, the .US National 12K, while competing for national titles and record-setting performances.
Similar to the inaugural 2013 event, USATF championship medals will be awarded to the top-three Masters male and Masters female, individual finishers in all five-year age divisions, from 40-44 to 90-plus.
Last year, 91-year-old Roy Englert (Springfield, Virginia) was the oldest competitor among a field of 87 total masters athletes, as he, Kathy Martin (Northport, N.Y.), Doug Goodhue (Milford, Michigan), Terry McCluskey (Vienna, Ohio) and newcomer Tom McCormack (Johnson City, Tennessee) all set American records.
