About Sean
Furey closed out his collegiate career by finishing third in the javelin at the 2005 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a school-record throw of 242-03 feet. Earlier in the season, he won the javelin at the NCAA Division I East Regional Championships and won the Ivy League/Heptagonal Championships by more than 20 feet to earn first team All-Ivy honors. Furey earned a 3.80 GPA at Dartmouth with his major in Engineering. In his time at Methuen high school, he captured two state championships in the javelin along with a national championship in the event.
