About Jillian
It's no surprise Jillian Camarena-Williams is the indoor American record holder in the shot put as she is in the midst of one of the more impressive USA Championships runs ever. Camarena-Williams has currently claimed the past seven USA Indoor titles in the event. The indoor record holder, she also tied Ramona Pagel's outdoor record in the event. Camarena-Williams was just five years old when Pagel initially set those marks. She qualified for her first Olympic Team in the women’s shot put with her third-place finish at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. It was Camarena-William's first competition of the 2008 Outdoor season and came less than three months after she had back surgery to repair a herniated disc. A multi-talented thrower, she holds the sixth best throw in the discus on Stanford’s all-time list. As a high schooler, Camarena-Williams gained All-America honors while at Woodland High School where she won the 2000 California state discus title and the 1999 state shot put crown. Camarena-Williams married Dustin Williams on September 5, 2009.
