About Jason
Young, who has been ranked in the top ten nationally by Track & Field News on six occasions, will be aiming for his second Team USA spot in as many years in 2012. Young holds Texas Tech school records in the indoor season weight throw with a 63-1 and in the outdoor season discus and hammer throws with marks of 206-5. In high school, Young finished second in discus at the state meet and Golden West Invitational. Young is an assistant strength coach at Texas Tech University.
