About
Curtis Mitchell displayed his ability at a young age and finds himself on his first world championships team at age 24. In 2010, when he was just 21 years ago, Mitchell ran a time of 19.99 in a semi-final round to set the NACAC U23 meet record in the event. The time that season ranked seventh in the world. Mitchell cut his standout season at Texas A&M short following his junior season and turned professional by signing a contract with adidas. In 2010 he held the fastest indoor time in the world in the 200m. Mitchell had his best season to date in 2013, earning a bronze medal at the USA Outdoor Championships (19.99) and finishing the season ranked fifth in the world by Track & FIeld News.
