About Barbara
Barbara is a native of Haiti, and actually represented her home country at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Upon moving to the United States Pierre attended Oak Ridge High School and St. Augustine College, where she was a standout in the 60m and 100m. In 2013 Pierre captured her first national title in the women's 60m at the USA Indoor Championships. Pierre is a native of Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti that was hardest hit by the magnitude 7.0 earthquake back in 2010. Pierre was featured on an ESPN documentary following Haitian athletes traveling back to the coutnry to give aid.
