A seven-time collegiate All-American, Aurieyall Scott was a standout while at the University of Central Florida. Scott became the school's first NCAA champion in any sport, taking the 60-meter title at the 2012 NCAA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship with a time of 7.13 seconds. During her junior year, Scott was named Conference USA Track Athlete of the Year. As a late addition to the 100m at the 2013 Summer World University Games (Universiade) in Kazan, Russia, Scott won her first international gold with a time of 11.28 seconds. Scott was also in the United States delegation to the 2013 World Championships in Athletics, earning her spot with a top-6 finish at the 2013 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Following her junior season at UCF, Scott signed a contract with Nike, in the process foregoing her amateur status to become a professional athlete.
