About Jamaal
Torrance has excelled as one of the U.S.’s top quarter milers and has been a go-to guy for the 4x400m since his days at St. Augustine’s College. Torrance helped Team USA win three gold medals in the 4x400m, as well as running on the qualifying rounds of the World Championship 4x400m team in Daegu (2011), that clocked the fastest time in the world that year at 2:58.82. While Torrance did not run in the final, the team carried the momentum and won gold. Torrance also ran in the individual 400m in Daegu when Jeremy Wariner declined his spot on the team due to injury.
