About Amanda
Amanda Smock has consistently been in the mix to qualify for Team USA for both Olympic and World Championship competition for the past seven track and field seasons, finishing in the top six at the USA Outdoor Championships each season. Smock recorded six of the top eight jumps in winning the 2011 Outdoor title. However, she still stood increments short of the B standard for the World Championships and began pursuing the mark that would get her on Team USA for the 2011 World Championships. It came days before Team USA was announced at the World Championships Pre-Meet held at the Olympic Training Center when she recorded a personal best of 14.17m/46-6.25. Married to former college teammate Greg Smock.
