Guide to Conflict of Interest Provisions

Note: This document is intended to serve as a tool for understanding the USATF Code of Ethics. It is only a summary of the full Code of Ethics as approved by the Board of Directors. In any case where there is a discrepancy between this document and the Code of Ethics, the provisions of the Code of Ethics will prevail.

Guide for Board members, committee chairs, and council chairs

To Ethics Committee immediately As Ethics Committee recommends to Board, ranging from recusal to termination of USATF role 1-Items of $100 or less in aggregate per year that do not appear related to any activity.
2-Athletes and coaches supplier arrangements in normal course of business (as disclosed)
3-National Team staff gear provided to all such participants
Transactions greater than $100 between USATF and a third party with which you are affiliated. Disclose affiliation to Ethics Committee immediately As Ethics Committee recommends to Board, ranging from recusal to termination of USATF role. Expense reimbursements in the normal course of business.

 

Guide for non-chair members of committee and councils, members of sub-committees, task forces, and other decision-making bodies
