Media & Communications
An Intern in the Media & Communications Department is responsible for the following:

Assisting with daily written and oral communication to media and general public.

Searching for and identifying articles and daily clips for an email distribution list.

Field phone calls and help with communicating to the media.

Assisting with USATF publications, Internet production, and information distribution.

Maintain athlete files and photos.
-
Assist with researching and gathering information for press releases and News & Notes.

Writing and distributing press releases.
-
Interact and communicate with collegiate Sports Information Directors and agents to forward press releases to athletes' local media.

Periodically write athlete features for Fast Forward and other USA Track & Field publications.

Serve as Media liaison for select youth and junior events.

Update and write athlete biographies.

Assist with updating online calendar entries.

Coordinating press department mailings.
Requirements for the position include:

At least a college junior.

Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Coordinating press department mailings.
Note: All interns with USA Track & Field are eligible to receive a stipend. School credit and parking assistance can also be arranged.
