Associate Director of Associations
USA Track & Field (USATF) is seeking an individual to serve as Associate Director of Associations. This person will report to the COO and will create and execute programs, services, and initiatives that provide USATF members, sanctioned events, member clubs, and local Associations with a positive experience with USATF and the sports of track & field, long distance running, and race walking.
Specific assignments may include:

Oversee a department that develops and implements programs and services offered to a wide range of constituent groups: including Masters athletes; individual and club members; and sanctioned event directors.

Prepare and review budgets for the Associations department; assist in preparation of various committee budgets.

National Office liaison to the Associations, Organizational, Masters Track & Field, and LDR Committees and the Club, Cross Country, and Mountain/Ultra/Trail Councils.

Direct the planning of the Associations Workshop.

Work closely with the Events Department in the planning and implementation of Club, Cross Country and Mountain/Ultra/Trail events.
Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree preferred.

At least 5 years experience in the Olympic sports movement or related sports environment with a background in event management or athletic programming preferred. Past experience in Masters sports is preferred and a working knowledge of USATF programs is a plus.

Experience with a volunteer base is a plus.

Extensive job experience in an office environment managing information, preparing reports and working with budgets, and handling customer inquiries and other administrative areas.

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Access.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and handle conflict resolution in a professional manner.

Ability to organize information and present it in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to manage a number of projects and handle large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data.

Must be able to travel away from home for extended periods.
Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience.
