Susan Hazzard

E. Susan Hazzard arrived at USA Track & Field in May of 2000. She currently serves as Director of Public Relations where she leads the communications department on a day-to-day basis, and oversees the organization’s community outreach efforts, which includes the elite athlete outreach program “Win with Integrity."

Before arriving at USATF, she served as athletics publications director at the University of Kentucky and Louisiana State University. With much of her career spent as a graphic artist, Hazzard was responsible for creating the current logo for the Kentucky athletic department. She started her career in sports as the marketing director at the Nick Bollettierri Tennis Academy (now IMG Academy) in Bradenton, Fla., where tennis greats such as Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Jim Courier and Monica Seles started their careers.

A native of Leitchfield, Ky., Hazzard earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Hazzard lives in Indianapolis and enjoys art and travelling.
