Director of International Teams & Championships
Sandy Snow began her role with USA Track & Field in January of 1993 and currently serves the national office as its director of international teams and championships. In her current role, Snow oversees and implements all aspects for U.S. national teams, which includes team staff selection, staff training, training camps, team sign-up, travel, uniform distribution, staff communications, housing, meet entries, athlete needs and on-site management. Snow is heavily involved with the planning for each IAAF World Indoor and Outdoor Championships along with each Olympic Games, working closely with the USOC and the IAAF. Snow features a wealth of international and domestic meet management skills.
Before arriving at USATF as a staff member, Snow was a first grade/special education teacher and a full time mother of three who became interested in the sport through her daughter’s participation in the Junior Olympic program. As a volunteer, she served as the secretary for the USATF Georgia Association, the secretary of the national Youth Committee, was a master level official and was on the USATF Board of Directors.
Snow received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Shorter College and a master’s degree in special education from Georgia State University.
Snow currently spends her time working between Indianapolis and her home in Atlanta.
