Neale Johantgen was hired as USA Track & Field’s technology support technician in January of 2010 before being promoted to technology coordinator in January of 2012. In his current role, Johantgen maintaines all of the technology within the national office and works to educate the staff on how to boost their productivity with technology, helps with general operations tasks and organizing workspaces.
Johantgen was hired directly following a website internship with USATF in the fall of 2009.
A native of Indianapolis, Johantgen attended Indiana University in Bloomington and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and technology management from the Kelley School of Business. At Indiana he was a member of the Student Athletic Board and served as its director during his junior and senior years and was VP of communications his senior year.
Johantgen has lived in Indianapolis his entire life and is a die-hard fan of its professional sports teams, one time refusing to go to the hospital after breaking his arm because the Pacers were playing the New York Knicks. He also enjoys music, movies and popular culture in his spare time.
