Merchandise and Retail Operations Manager
Leah is responsible for the planning and selecting of the products sold in the USATF Store. She studies and identifies trends in the marketplace while understanding customers' needs, which she’ll use to analyze and improve customer demand, store policy, and financial budgets.
Leah’s other responsibilities include forecasting sales levels, assessing prospective suppliers, maintaining relationships with existing suppliers, sourcing products, managing inventory, and assisting with other departments' buying needs.
Before arriving at USATF, Leah worked at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters, a specialty running store in Rochester, N.Y., and was a Fieldhouse Supervisor at Gates-Chili High School in Rochester, where she also coached outdoor track. She held a design internship in New York City with Cache, assisting the head and assistant sweater wear designers. She has also done freelance design work, including creating an autograph card for Olympic gold-medalist and world record holder Jenn Suhr.
Leah graduated from Syracuse University in 2011 with a degree in fashion design where she also competed in the pole vault on the track and field team, tying the indoor school record.
She currently lives in Indianapolis and enjoys participating in a variety of outdoor activities and local events.
