Aron McGuire

Aron McGuire is currently in his second stint with USA Track & Field where he serves as the organization’s associate director of championships and international teams. His duties include aspects and logistics pertaining to U.S. national teams, which includes team sign-up, travel, uniform distribution, staff communication, housing, meet entries, athlete needs and on-site management. Much of his job is spent on the road traveling both domestically and internationally.
McGuire moved to his current role in the fall of 2006. He first served USATF in 2002 and 2003, also in the elite athlete department as the elite athlete programs coordinator. In 2003 he was selected to represent the USA National Bobseld Team as a push athlete and spent three seasons competing in the four-man event in the Europa Cup, World Cup and World Championships.
A native of Houston, Texas, McGuire later moved to Kent, Ohio, and eventually attended the University of Akron (Ohio), earning a degree in secondary education and a minor in physics in 1999. For the Zips, he was a member of their track and field team and broke the school record in the decathlon.
McGuire currently lives in Indianapolis.
