Marketing and Communications Manager
Amanda comes to USATF after nearly four years at the University of Florida, where she was first a communications intern and then promoted to assistant director of communications, where she remained for three years. Amanda served as the primary media and public relations contact for Florida’s nationally prominent volleyball and men’s and women’s track & field teams. Her teams combined for three NCAA titles and four conference championships in her time as a Gator. From her work during Florida Volleyball’s run to the Elite Eight, Amanda was named 2011-12 AVCA South Region SID of the Year.
Amanda is responsible for strategic communications and new media for USATF and also assists with day-to-day duties such as press releases, updating athlete bios and coordinating media interviews. She works primarily with elite athletes and international teams.
Amanda holds a B.A. in religion from Hendrix College, where she was a three-year letterwinner in volleyball, as well as the student director of intramurals. She received her Master of Theological Studies in ethics from Vanderbilt University, where she was a graduate assistant in the athletics media relations department. Amanda also worked with the NHL’s Nashville Predators as a communications intern during the 2009-10 season.
Amanda resides in Carmel.
