The USATF High Performance Division is hosting the Middle/Long Distance
Summit to exchange and share the most current and effective coaching/training
methodology and science for middle and long distance runners. Nearly 40 of the
very best coaches and scientists will present cutting edge information. This
very high qualitative and quantitative event is open to all interested coaches
who would like to attend at their own expense.

Housing
Hotel Rates at the Tuscany Suites/Casino Hotel: $39.00/night + tax
(single/double) rate while rooms are available.
Once you have given registration information to USATF (Tina Kauffman), you
MUST contact the hotel directly to make housing arrangements. Please contact the

Ground Transportation
Because the Tuscany does not offer an airport/hotel shuttle service, they
recommend using Showtime Shuttle (702-261-6100) which is located in Terminal #1
at door #13 and is $4.50/person one way or $8.75 round trip. A cab will average
$10.

SCIENCE
- Dr. Fabian Polo and the Baylor Motion Performance Lab have the
most advanced camera and biomechanical analysis equipment in the country.
Only five (5) other entities in the world have the high tech cameras they
use to measure and analyze biomechanical features and functions.
- Dr. John Connolly is engaged in advanced research that has the
potential through genome and protein science to predict and correct
overtraining phenomena, predict peak cycles characteristics and athlete's
potential for their event.
